PETA in the Twilight Zone

Here’s one for the weird in a demented cult kind of way. PETA criticized Obama for killing a fly and will be sending him a “humane bug catcher”, so that he can catch the fly humanely and set it free. (h/t A Creative Revolution)

I always considered PETA a hypocritical weird organization. But this incident make them deserved to be categorize as a self-righteous radical delusional organization. They also push their belief that everyone should be a vegan. I remember reading in the bible about the need for vegetarian to respect meat eaters and vice versa. Not sure PETA believe in God and bible. But hope not. We already have enough weird religion that’s been giving God a bad name and making people lose faith.

  1. Look. I shred people in words for less. PETA I could care less. But killing is killing. Buddhists have a point. I don’t kill anything anymore, myself. But I devour that which others kill. Fuck vegans, PETA and Paul McCartney.. So, I’m a hypocrite. But you, I wonder. So untouched by guilt or responsibilty. Makes me proud to be progressive. But, one thing. I don’t pretend to be better than anyone else. Call me weak. I’m sure you will. Fuck the bible. What about you? I mean the you inside the you you pretend to be. John Lennon was a motherfucker and ate meat and I do, too.

    • I said PETA is a hypocrite based on their past and present actions. I am in no way generalizing and accusing any Buddhist or people for their beliefs. I don’t pretend to be better than anyone else. PETA with their fear mongering campaign on things they themselves don’t practice seems to think they know better than anyone else. They like to dictate to people and bully them just because people drink milk. So who pretend to be better than anyone else? Me or your PETA? Not sure why you are so offended by the post. It was a criticism of PETA and their hypocrisy. They’ve been caught with their pants down (figuratively) for so many times already.

  2. Its a fly… come on..
Even buddists probably swated one by instinct, then expressed their surprise at their instinctive reaction by saying “awww crap”.
Let’s not go overboard, that is why the gods created so many flies, they knew we would have instictive reaction to them, as a species they will survive…lol
