Top Ten List of Why Harper Want to Call an Election Now

10 – Jim needs more time to play with the deficit. October 2009 won’t provide enough time. (After all, he masterfully crafted the hide and seek deficit under Mike Harris’s successive term)

9 – People might catch up with Stephen finger pointing, to avoid doing anything on the environment.

8 – He won’t be able to use “it’s the Liberals fault” in the campaign when he has a full term to answer for.

7 – He wants a fresh start to go on new spree of firing and strong arming disobedient public service officials out of office. CNSC head, Election Chief,… just are not filling enough.

6 -Bogging down Parliament’s committee, to prevent it from investigating increasing amount of allegation against his party, is overwhelming and election is the closest thing to a reset button.

5 – He would like an election before people find out that he really want Global warming so that his “defend the arctic” previous election’s “Canada can stand up to U.S.” platform would have more urgency.

4 – He so wanted to give out billions of dollars and nobody told him that election is not the only time he can give hands out.

3 – His coffers are overflowing with cash from private companies donation that he wants to help the economy, by spending money and putting out “Harper is a strong leader” ad that Canadian can drool over and feel good about.

2 – Economy is tanking and he want to keep the tradition by making sure Conservative is there when it happen.

1 – He wants to have an election before the U.S. does so that Canadian won’t confuse him with George Bush.



  1. In rural southwestern Ontario, I will be voting Conservative again. Canada deserves a leader that can be counted on to make the right decisions for this country. Harper has proven to Canadian voters that his government was the right choice last time and will be this time.
