Democrats disinformation campaign

Just read Michael Duffy’s article “Could Race Destroy The Democrats?” at

This article shows how media can contribute to public confusion on what really happened.

From the article, it says:

The real problem is that Clinton seemed to put LBJ on a pedestal higher than King’s.closequote.jpg

It makes me wonder if the reporter actually read Clinton’s full statement. I already talked about it in my previous post and her statement has no such allusion.

The article also states:

Bill Clinton’s comment that the Obama campaign — or Obama’s Iraq war position, depending on who you believe — was “a fairy tale” makes it impossible for him to play that role (of defusing the conflict) here

This statement seems to imply that Bill might be referring to the campaign and not about the Iraq war position of Obama. Those trying to take Bill Clinton word out of context claim that he meant Obama Campaign is a “fairy tale” because he is black. They are implying that he was not referring to Obama’s Iraq war position. The article said “Depending on who you believe?” Why don’t the reporter just state the fact and cut through the political crap created by whoever is spreading the misinformation. Ok, here’s what Bill says:

Second, it is wrong that Senator Obama got to go through 15 debates trumpeting his superior judgment and how he had been against the war in every year, numerating the years, and never got asked one time, not once, ‘Well, how could you say, that when you said in 2004 you didn’t know how you would have voted on the resolution? You said in 2004 there was no difference between you and George Bush on the war and you took that speech you’re now running on off your website in 2004 and there’s no difference in your voting record and Hillary’s ever since?’ Give me a break. This whole thing is the biggest fairy tale I’ve ever seen…So you can talk about Mark Penn all you want.

So it is very clear he was referring to Obama’s Iraq war position and NOT his campaign nor the fact that he is black! You can see the actual video and the exact quote from blog.

While we are on the topic of Iraq war position, I find it interesting for Hillary to criticize Obama on his position because her own position is questionable. She, like everybody else, was afraid to oppose Bush and the Iraq war. So both Obama and Clinton should just drop their pretense of being against Iraq war because they both failed on that case.

I agree with the title of the article though. I think Democrats better be careful or they are going to turn off all the independent and those who usually does not bother to vote. They don’t vote exactly because of politicians with such conducts. People will just ask “Why bother voting if your options are nothing but same ‘ole dirty politicians?”.
